Children enjoy summer holiday activities at Trabolgan house and estate in Whitegate, County Cork.
Formerly the home of Lord Fermoy, Trabolgan House in Whitegate, County Cork, is a Georgian building with an demense of 120 acres. For a number of years it operated it as a holiday camp. In 1959 Trabolgan house and estate was acquired by Gaelachas Teoranta. The boys' boarding school Scoil na nÓg was established on the site.
During the summer months, Scoil na nÓg becomes an Irish college where boys and girls enjoy an all Irish holiday. They improve their knowledge of the Irish language while availing of amenities such as swings and swing boats and a modern swimming pool with diving boards. They can also participate in sea bathing and boating from a private strand.
Scoil na nÓg was in operation from 1959 until 1973.
