Despite many challenges over the years the Cork Film Festival is still going and is now in its 50th year.
One of the oldest film festivals in Europe and the Cork programme for 2005 features drive-in movies, blockbusters and a celebration of the short film.
The tickets have been selling like hot cakes for a bumper programme.
