Day four of the racing festival features fashion on ladies day and the Guinness Galway Hurdle.
The fine weather continues for the Galway Races at Ballybrit.
The festival took a distinctly Irish American flavour.
US Ambassador to Ireland Jean Kennedy Smith is excited to be attending the races for the first time. Niall O'Dowd, founder of the Irish Voice Newspaper, is also enjoying the event. He says the Galway Races are the essence of Ireland.
I love the horse racing and I love the Irish festivals.
Today is also Ladies Day at the races and the fashion stakes are high.
The main racing attraction of the day is the Guinness Galway Hurdle with prize money of £25,000. The JP McManus King Wah Glory started the race as the hot favourite, but it was the Galway trained No Tag that crossed the finish post in first place.
