Lansdowne Road gets ready to host Oasis as additional tickets made available to counter touts.

More than forty thousand fans will attend the show at Lansdowne Road. A crew of around 180 have assembled the huge stage in the stadium. The turf on the pitch is being protected by panels which allow the grass to breathe. A fleet of 30 trucks has brought the Oasis show to Lansdowne Road. The show will use enough electrical power to light a town the size of Killarney.

An additional thousand tickets went on sale to combat ticket touts who in the past have forced fans to pay over the odds to see a show.

It is estimated that Dublin will benefit from the concert to the tune of £5 million, with fans travelling from around the globe for the show. Justin Green, MCD Management Services, says that the residents around the venue have been hugely supportive.
