In Dublin young people sail down the River Liffey in an event to raise funds for the lifeboat service.
People on the Liffey quays got to see ten competitors race their Optimist class dinghies to raise funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI).
The race began near Heuston Station and made its way down the Liffey to O'Connell Bridge in the city centre.
The event was sponsored by eleven Irish firms to raise around £1,000 for the lifeboat service. Sponsors included B&I, George Bell and Co Ltd, Ferrum Trading Company Ltd, Good Time Charley's, Guinness Group, Irish Marine Group, Irish Shipping, Liffey Dockyard, Liner Shipping and John Sisk and Son Ltd.
