A busy time for the people of Kilcrohane as the daffodil crop is picked and prepared for sale.
Growing daffodils is the main source of income for the village of Kilcrohane in west Cork.
Kilcrohane has a population of between three and four hundred people and 40 local growers provide the crop of daffodils which are hand-picked and sorted by local people young and old.
Charlie McCarthy, chairman of the co-operative, says the daffodil business is worth between five and six thousand pounds to Kilcrohane each year.
