Dublin Castle ceremony remembers Dick McKee, Peadar Clancy and Conor Clune.

On Saturday 20 November 1920, British forces arrested Dick McKee, Peadar Clancy and Conor Clune. Dick McKee was the Commandant of the Dublin Brigade, and Peadar Clancy was Vice-Commandant. Conor Clune was mistakenly identified as a member of the IRA during a raid on a hotel by British Auxiliaries. The three men were executed at Dublin Castle the following day, a day that became known as Bloody Sunday.

President Éamon de Valera and Taoiseach Sean Lemass both attended the annual commemoration ceremony at Dublin Castle. They were greeted by salutes sounded by the No 1 Army Band under Comdt J Doherty before mass at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity.

Also in attendance were veterans of the Old Dublin Brigade of the IRA, Army personnel, and members of Cumann na mBan.
