The Fianna Fáil Wolfe Tone Commemoration takes place in Bodenstown, County Kildare.

Some 200 people attend the annual Fianna Fáil Wolfe Tone Commemoration at Bodenstown graveyard in Kildare.

Taoiseach Jack Lynch is in Corsica for European Economic Community (EEC) talks. In his absence, vice-president of Fianna Fáil, Paddy Smith lays a wreath on behalf of the party's governing body, the Ard Comhairle.

Also in attendance are TDs David Andrews, Jim Tunney, Sean Moore, Tom Fitzpatrick, Ruairí Brugha, Phil Brady, Richard Gogan and Paddy Power, as well as party secretary Séamus Brennan.

Musical accompaniment during the ceremony is provided by a girls' choir from Coill Dubh in County Kildare.
