A Californian Sea Lion is a new resident at Dublin Zoo.
The latest arrival in Dublin Zoo will take the place of Sammy, one of the Californian Sea Lions, who died earlier this year.
Dublin Zoo Director Terry Murphy explains that Sammy’s unexpected demise was caused when he ingested pebbles which had been thrown into the sea lions’ enclosure,
We stress, please do not feed the animals.
Visitors should not give food to animals in the Zoo, as they are already receiving a diet suited to their nutritional needs,
We try to give a balanced meal to our animals.
