A variety of boats, caravans, mobile homes, tents and a giant swimming pool on display at the RDS.

The Boat Show and Caravan Exhibition at the RDS is an important part of holiday and leisure promotion in Ireland.

The three day biennial exhibition was officially opened by the Minister for Defence Paddy Cooney.

For those who like sleeping on water or not too far from the grass, there's a lot on offer.

On display at the show is the six foot boat in which Liverpudlian Tom McNally spent 51 days on the Atlantic. For those who prefer terra firma, there are caravans and mobile homes on display which could put the average semi-detached home in the shade. One glamourous mobile home even has a TV point and comes in at £9,400. For those on a smaller budget, there's a display of tents. There's also an inflatable, mobile swimming pool if you have a back garden big enough.
