Ronnie Drew features in the cast for Cinderella the pantomime at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin.
The popular Gaiety Theatre pantomime has morning shows. This means an early start for the cast to beat the Dublin traffic, as the curtain rises for the first show at 11am. Ronnie Drew who plays Stoneybroke tells News2day that,
Ireland is a great place when you have a helicopter.
Susan McFadden competed in the TV talent series 'You're A Star’ last year and now plays the lead role in Cinderella. She is happy with the show’s reception so far,
We’ve had full houses every night and they have all loved it.
The fairy godmother is played by Billie Traynor, who is bringing something different to this traditional role.
She’s kind of a mafia fairy godmother...and she can fly, and it is magic.
With two shows per day, a pantomime actor’s schedule is not for the faint of heart, but as Richie Hayes who plays Buttons explains,
That’s all part of it when we sign up for panto land.
