We prefer to be in the role of the outsiders.

Former Galway footballer Frank Stockwell was on the team who played against Dublin in the 1958 All-Ireland semi-final. He fancies the chances of his county this year. The team may not be as physically strong as the famous Galway men of the 1950s, but they have speed on their side.

We’re strong in every position.

We feel quietly confident that we can pull it off. We have a good fast young team.

Mick Reynolds will play centre field on Sunday, but does not think that they need to dominate midfield to clinch the game.

If we can give the forwards fifty-fifty percent of the ball we should win the game.

Miko Kelly is the former Secretary of the Tuam Stars talks about the team’s strengths and believes they are

The fastest Galway team I have seen for years.

Gerry O’Flynn, chairman of the Galway Association in London, and vice chairman Martin O’Halloran have travelled over for the match and are looking forward to Galway beating Dublin. It is a team whose members are evenly matched maintains Gerry O’Flynn,

I came over to see them win, and I know they will.
