The Special Olympics Flame of Hope arrives at Custom House Quay in Dublin.
The torch run team brought the Flame of Hope from Dublin Castle through the city to a special ceremony at Custom House Quay.
The symbolic flame has now completed a 16 day journey travelling over 18,000 km, taking in 16 countries across Europe. The journey started in Athens and will end at Croke Park in Dublin.
After the special welcoming ceremony at Custom House Quay, the flame was split in two as members of the Garda Sub-Aqua Club swam with the flame up the River Liffey from Custom House Bridge to O'Connell Bridge where it was then reunited with the torch run team. The 2003 Special Olympics Flame of Hope will arrive in Croke Park this evening.
