Dingle fisherman catches monster cod fish believed to be the largest ever caught in Irish waters.

The fish weighing 51 lbs was landed by fisherman John Devane from his trawler off Dingle Bay.
The cod is three feet long and 26 inches in width.

It was bought by Limerick fish merchant Rennie Cusack and arrived in Limerick by train from Dingle.
