The Dublin Simon Community looks to help the homeless who can be found in temporary shelters and doorways throughout city.

The Simon Community which works with homeless people at a number of centres in Ireland as well as on the streets of Dublin.

Joe Fox, Simon Soup Run Co-ordinator, describes the work of visiting and helping people who are "poorly off".  He believes young that people can help the Simon Community simple ways that do not cost a lot of money by donating food, clothes and blankets.

On a cold winter night, volunteers with Simon visit the homeless across the city. At the back of Lansdowne Road Station soup, sandwiches and blankets are delivered to one man sleeping rough.

Mary Donnelly Simon Co-Worker got involved with Simon as she wanted to do something to help homeless people. Mary believes that Simon treats homeless people as people rather than charity cases.

Everyone's aware of homeless people when you're going through the city. You can't but notice homeless people.
