A school teacher finds bronze age sword on a Galway riverbed.
History lessons at Ballygar National School in Galway came to life when school principal Sean Naughton brought in a bronze age sword to show his students. Sean Naughton describes how the sword was discovered while he was fishing on the River Suck.
The sword is believed to be about 2,700 years old and is described as being in an amazing state of preservation. Andy Halpin from the National Museum of Ireland said the find as one in a million.
