Irish author Catherine Dunne on winning the 2013 Giovanni Boccaccio International Prize for Fiction for her novel 'The Things We Know Now', published in Italy as 'Quel Che Ora Sappiamo'.
Catherine Dunne has always been popular in Italy. In 2007 Silvio Berlusconi's aggreived wife Veronica Lario wrote a letter to 'La Repubblica' newspaper complaining about his behaviour and comparing herself to a character in a Catherine Dunne novel. Sales of Catherine's work shot through the roof. She talks to Marian Finucane about Veronica Lario and her Italian success in this audio clip from 'The Marian Finucane Show'.
