Hundreds of people have joined a protest in Dublin calling for 24-hour access to cardiology services at University Hospital Waterford.
A cath lab at the facility currently operates from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday.
Protesters say that outside these hours, people in need of emergency cardiac care must be transferred to Cork.
They claim that lives are being lost because a 24-7 service is not available in Waterford.
In January, thousands of people took to the streets of Waterford to call for the increased services.
