A Gothic horror film with the reputedly haunted Loftus Hall in Wexford as the unofficial star is set to open in Irish cinemas next month.
'The Lodgers' was filmed at the famous building and gardens of Loftus Hall on the Hook Peninsula in September and October 2016 - coincidentally the 666th anniversary year of the house.

The movie, directed by Brian O'Malley, has been featured at a number of international film festivals, Toronto being its international premier where it screened twice to a sold out theatre.
It picked up a number of awards around the globe in other festivals such as the Stiges Spanish Film Festival where it scooped 'Best Picture'.

March sees the Irish release, three weeks after the US release, where it is picking up good audiences and reviews.
A preview show is scheduled for The Arc cinema in Wexford on Wednesday, 7 March and a celebration event in St Michael's Theatre in New Ross on Tuesday, 13 March.

It will go on general release in cinemas around the country in March.
Wexford people of all ages were involved, from the schoolchildren of Clongeen as extras to a local character - Martin Waters - who died a number of weeks ago at the age of 96.
The locations for the film were Loftus Hall, Johnstown Castle, Tintern and Clongeen Village.
Aiden Quigley, who runs Loftus Hall, says: "It's a good example of how the Film industry can benefit small rural communities, from the initial direct spend on location to the Film tourism aspect (we have already had visitors to Loftus Hall from Toronto, people who were at the premier)."
