A search is under way for five people following a robbery at an off-licence in Co Waterford.
The incident occurred at Garvey's in Waterford city at around 9pm last night.
Five people entered the premises and it is believed one man had a hammer and another had what gardaí say appears to have been an imitation handgun.
The man with the hammer threatened staff before the five people fled on foot in the direction of an area known as The Folly with a quantity of alcohol, tobacco and cash.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
