A 28-year-old Waterford man has been charged with assault causing harm in relation to the death of John Lowe in Portlaw yesterday afternoon.
Stephen Keane from Coolfin Meadows, Portlaw, Co Waterford, was brought before a special sitting of Waterford District Court this evening.
The court heard he will be applying for bail on Monday and he was remanded in custody.
Judge Kevin Staunton granted him free legal aid.
