Online bank Revolut has launched a new version of its app which includes joint accounts.
Customers will be allowed to create an extra account within the Revolut app to be jointly owned by two people – whether they are partners, family members or friends.
The new version of the app will also include a group chat function to allow customers to exchange messages about payments.
"Both Joint Accounts and Group Chats will help to easily sort out money matters with whomever we share our financial life – blending the best of existing social and banking features," said Dmitry Zlokazov, Head of Product at Revolut.
Last week, Revolut said that it had issued Irish IBANs to more than two million Irish customers.
Revolut also announced plans last month to begin providing car insurance in Ireland and has recently started offering loans and credit cards.
