There are fears for around 80 jobs at financial consultants Grant Thornton Ireland.
The company said it is reviewing its operating and delivery model to improve efficiency and better meet the needs of its clients.
"As a result, we have taken the difficult decision to propose a targeted reduction in some roles in Ireland to align our resources to where we can have the greatest impact moving forward," Grant Thorton Ireland said in a statement.
"These are not decisions we take lightly and we are committed to managing this process responsibly and with the care and empathy our people deserve," the company added.
Grant Thornton Ireland employs almost 3,000 people.
It is a member of Grant Thornton International, a global organisation of member firms with 73,000 staff in over 149 countries.
The company provides financial advisory services in areas such as accountancy, risk, audit and tax.
