Man arrested over assault on Waterford FC manager

The man was arrested this morning and is being held at Tramore Garda Station

A man has been arrested in connection with an assault in Co Waterford at the weekend.

Waterford Football Club manager Alan Reynolds was assaulted on Tramore's main street at around 1am on Sunday morning.

He suffered facial injuries and it is understood he underwent surgery this morning on a leg injury at University Hospital Waterford.

Gardaí in Tramore arrested a man this morning and he is being questioned at Tramore Garda Station.
