Each week on RTÉ LifeStyle, we will have a series of exercise tutorials from the experts at ExWell Medical.
Aerobic workouts focus on our heart and lungs which improves cardiovascular health. You should feel a little out of breath and have a red face after this workout – all normal responses to exercise.
Complete each exercise for one minute (make sure you warm-up beforehand with our warm-up video).
Try to repeat the session 2-3 times each day if you can, however, even if you complete it once that is fantastic – anything is better than nothing and all activity counts.
These exercises are more difficult and more demanding than the previous chair aerobic exercises. Each exercise has an easier version and a harder version, so do whichever one challenges you, without being too difficult to complete.
