Chef Adrian is back with a brand new series on RTÉ Player with celebrity guests including Samantha Mumba, PJ Gallagher and more. We caught up with the young chef to talk about all things food.

Adrian put a shout out to his followers on social media to find Ireland's top foodie spots and the reaction was absolutely amazing. In no time at all, the best tapas, pizza, chicken wings, chicken burger and ice cream in the country were revealed.

The restaurants voted for their top nosh and who feature in the series are:

  • Best Chicken Burger - KC & Son & Sons in Cork
  • Best Tapas - Casa Tapas Bar & Grill in Wicklow
  • Best Pizza - The Dough Bros. Wood Fire Pizza in Galway
  • Best Chicken Wings - Elephant & Castle in Dublin
  • Best Ice Cream - Mammy Johnston’s in Sligo

You can watch Adrian and his celebrity guests recreate these tasty dishes on RTÉ Player before making them for yourself at home!

We personally love watching First Dates Ireland Maitre D' Mateo Saina recreate Ireland's best burger, although that might be down to Mateo more than the burger.

Once Adrian had wrapped filming at Flash Harry’s in Blackrock, RTÉ LifeStyle's Soraiya Ryan threw some tough questions as the famous foodie.

When it comes to his famous fakeaway recipes, Adrian says a homemade spicebag is always the way to go.

"It has to be the spice bag. You've got this crispy chicken, nice baked chips and this spice mixture going over the top, like, it's incredible."

Chef Adrian made a name for himself by creating this fakeaways in a bid to get the nation eating healthier while still getting the flavours of their favourite foods. However, everybody loves a cheat meal...

While Adrian advocates for healthy eating, cooking meals from scratch and using the best ingredients available, he understands the that people want to treat themselves.

"My treat would be something like ice-cream or I might make a cake or something like that [...] maybe apple tart. I might make apple tart and eat that."
