Irish Oscar nominee Ciarán Hinds was among the attendees at the 94th Academy Awards nominees luncheon.

The annual event took place on Monday in Los Angeles, less than three weeks out from the biggest night of the year in showbusiness.

The KIN star, who has received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Pop in the acclaimed family drama Belfast, was joined by the film's writer-director Kenneth Branagh at the event.

Branagh has received Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay nominations for his semi-autobiographical film.

These nominations mean Branagh has set a new Oscars record, receiving seven nominations in seven different categories over the course of his career.
