Batman producer Michael E. Uslan has addressed critics of Twilight star Robert Pattinson's casting as the Caped Crusader, urging people to trust the vision of director Matt Reeves.
In May, it was confirmed that Pattinson will be the new Batman/Bruce Wayne following much speculation that he would take on the iconic role.
However, some fans were up in arms about the casting decision.

Veteran Batman producer Uslan has now said that naysayers should wait to see the film before passing judgement.
Appearing at Germany's CCXP Cologne convention, Comic Book quotes him as saying: "My position is this: trust the filmmaker and give the filmmaker, and the filmmaker's vision, the benefit of the doubt. Then wait till you see the movie.
"And then once you see the movie, judge the hell out of it. But I think that's really the formula going forward.
"I couldn't be happier, I couldn't be more enthused, as a Batman fan, that Matt Reeves is the filmmaker in charge and has selected Robert Pattinson to be his next Batman."
The producer added that it was a "repeated formula" for there to be uproar surrounding casting decisions.
"Ben Affleck, when it was announced he would be Batman, I thought they were really gonna surround the studio with pitchforks and torches," he said.
"So then Robert Pattinson is announced, and the controversy on both sides breaks out all over again, so it's a repeated formula."

Director Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Cloverfield) has also penned the screenplay for the upcoming Batman movie.
Pattinson has received much praise this month for his work in the new sci-fi film High Life. He is currently filming Tenet, the new film from a director with much Batman history of his own - The Dark Knight's Christopher Nolan.
The Batman is scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
