Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri from London Irish writer-director Martin McDonagh has topped this year's Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards nominations with four nods, it was announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Frances McDormand is nominated in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role category while her co-stars while Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson are both up for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role.
The film is also nominated alongside The Big Sick, Get Out, Lady Bird and Mudbound in the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture category.
Greta Gerwig's coming-of-age drama Lady Bird was the only other film to receive more than two nominations, with Saoirse Ronan and Laurie Metcalf picking up nods in the leading and supporting categories as well as the Outstanding Performance by a Cast nomination.
In the TV categories, Netflix’s Stranger Things, the 80's women's wrestling comedy Glow and HBO’s mini-series Big Little Lies led the nominees with four nods apiece.
Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown and The Crown's Claire Foy each scored two nominations, both in the categories of best actress in a drama series and drama ensemble.
The SAG Awards, which are seen as a key indicator of the Oscars, will take place in Los Angeles on January 21 with Kristen Bell hosting.
