    Fire service hopeful of fewer bonfires amid bad weather

    Dublin Fire Brigade has urged people to avoid Halloween bonfires tonight where possible, and has said its hopeful that with stockpiled material already removed and bad weather due, there will be fewer fires than normal.

    Playground damaged following fire in Dublin city

    Dublin Fire Brigade have urged members of the community to report any suspicious behaviour to gardaí, following a fire which damaged a playground at Weaver Park in Dublin city.

    Flogas Energy announces further price hike next month

    Flogas Energy has announced a further increase in the prices it charges for electricity and gas from next month, with residential electricity bills increasing by 17%, and gas bills rising by 23%.

    Water restrictions imposed in 15 areas across country

    Irish Water has imposed measures including tankering and night-time restrictions on water supplies in 15 areas across the midlands and southeast as demand increases during the current hot spell, and has once again appealed for people to take "simple steps" to conserve supply.
