In a Christmas broadcast to radio listeners at home in and America, Éamon de Valera outlines progress made in the Irish economy.
I know that many of you those of Irish blood especially will want me to tell before I close how we are progressing in our own affairs here in Ireland.
The message to both audiences is that Ireland is developing as an emerging country on the economic front this is down to industry and agriculture with an increase in foreign trade. Éamon de Valera also highlights the independence that has now been established by Irish political institutions and the new constitution that will be brought before the people in the new year.
