20 years after the excavations stopped at Wood Quay, Marian Finucane talks to the architect Sam Stephson and Director of the National Museum Pat Wallace, about Wood Quay.
Marking 20 years since the last day of the archaeological dig at Wood Quay, Marian Finucane talks to Sam Stephenson about the planning application, the build, the excavations, the protests, and the need for preservation. Sam Stephenson says he is saddened that his initial plans were never completed. The second phase of the development was awarded to the architects Scott Tallon and Walker.
Pat Wallace, Director of the National Museum, talks about the important role played by Professor F.X. Martin without whom he says the excavations would never have been permitted.
