Food and song are shared in Brittany for the celebrations of the twinning of four West Cork Gaeltacht villages and four Breton villages.
This programme reports from Brittany where locals from four Gaeltacht areas of West Cork have travelled by ferry to four Breton villages with whom they are twinned.
Some Breton people travelled to West Cork the year previously to mark the twinning of their towns. Cúil Aodha is twinned with Peumerit Quintin, Baile Bhuirne with Tremargat, Baile Mhic Íre with Lanrivain and Cill na Martra with Kergrist Moelou.
This clip shows a welcome reception for the Cork visitors in a local hall in Kergrist Moelou where pancakes and refreshments are served. Along with the food and drink the two groups join in songs in Breton and Irish.
