Roy Bradford announces the results of the Unionist Parliamentary Party vote reaffirming Captain O'Neill's leadership as Prime Minister.
O'Neill had 23 votes in his favour and one abstention. While Bradford refused to reveal the name of the person who abstained, it was later revealed that William Craig had shown his opposition by abstaining. Ten members of the party had earlier withdrawn from the meeting.
