The Soviet Airline, Aeroflot, is to sponsor the Clare Senior Hurling Team’s National League Campaign. The deal is thought to involve a four-figure sum, to be used to finance the team-training programme. It has been arranged by Aeroflot’s Shannon-based Irish manager, Seán Hurley.
