Fine Gael Spokesperson for Finance, Michael Noonan, has claimed that the cabinet is considering proposals to cut back the activities of the Shannon Development Company. He outlined what he claimed were proposals from Minister for Industry and Commerce, Desmond O’Malle. Minister O'Malley has refused to comment, but the Shannon Development company has confirmed that changes are likely.
