Irish airlines have given a warm welcome to a new agreement to liberalise air fares and air routes across Europe. At an all-day meeting in Luxembourg yesterday European transport ministers finally approved a full package of reforms to develop an open-skies policy.

Interview with Séamus Brennan who says that a substantial breakthrough in air transport was made at the meeting in Luxembourg. He says that in the future there will be a better deal for the consumer.
