In London, the libel case brought by Andrew Neil, editor of the ‘Sunday Times’, has ended. A jury in the High Court has awarded him a thousand pound damages. Times Newspapers was awarded just sixty pence. Neil had sued the ‘Sunday Telegraph’, which, he said, had implied he was aware that Pamela Bordes, a former House of Commons researcher, was working as a prostitute during their relationship in 1988.
