Eamon Daly of Modelligo, Ballyduff, Waterford, is charged at Carrick-on-Suir District Court with the attempted murder of his four-year-old daughter Aileen at Lismore last night. The alarm was raised after the child was reported missing and immediately a search of the river Blackwater got under way. A large search party have so far only found a child’s shoe. Farmers with land along the river have been asked to keep a look out for the child.
