Dessie O'Hare who was being sought for the kidnap of John O'Grady arrested following a shootout with Gardaí at a checkpoint at Urlingford, Kilkenny.
A passenger in the car was shot dead and Dessies O'Hare wounded and taken to Saint Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny.
