Military funeral of Lieutenant Aengus Murphy, killed while serving with United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), takes place in Tuam.
Report shows the funeral service, attended by An Taoiseach, Doctor Garret FitzGerald, Tánaiste Dick Spring, Ministers Peter Barry and Paddy O'Toole, and Paddy Cooney, Archbishop of Tuam, Doctor Joseph Cunnane and Head Chaplain Monsignor Edward Dunne.
The coffin being placed on gun carriage. At the graveside the coffin is lowered. Aengus Murphy's father, Brigadier General Kevin Murphy, General Officer Commanding Western Command, saluting his son during last post.
