Protest as plans to build a third bridge in Limerick across the Shannon are stuck in bureaucracy.

A much talked about third bridge for Limerick is no nearer to being built. In the meantime congestion increases as traffic queues to cross the Shannon on the two exisiting Limerick city bridges.

Despite plans for a new bridge being complete and site preparations begun on both side of the Shannon construction has still not started. A protest in Limerick set out to highlight the continuing delay in building a third bridge to alleviate traffic jams.
