Tralee Bay Sailing Club in County Kerry celebrates being fifty years old.
Kerry is a county more noted for football than maritime sports, Tralee Bay Sailing Club is leads the way in training young people with its own sailing school.
After 50 years, the club based in Fenit is still driven by huge enthusiasm for the sport.
Club member, Lorna Browne, says the sailing school is state of the art and is open to everyone throughout the year.
Marking its 50th year, Tralee Bay Sailing Club will stage some of the biggest events in the sailing calendar, including the West of Ireland Offshore Championships and the Fireball Nationals.
Commodore John Carlin puts the success of the club down to the volunteers.
