COVID-19 pandemic restrictions mean there are very few people travelling through Dublin Airport.

Passenger numbers are down about 95 per cent for this time of year with only essential travel permitted. Guidelines on travel and social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic have resulted in a dramatic fall in the number of people making international journeys.

Just a scattering of international flights coming into Dublin today.

One passenger, just off a flight from Lisbon, said they will be self-isolating in line with the quarantine laws in place. Other passengers are travelling for work, for medical appointments or for family reasons.

Garda checkpoints are in place on the approach to both terminals at Dublin Airport to ascertain if people are travelling for essential reasons.
