Images of the rich and famous passengers who travelled through Shannon Airport in photographic exhibition.

Photographs of Hollywood film stars and world leaders who have passed through Shannon Airport over the years are among over 60 images on show and to celebrate 70 years of transatlantic flights.

They were the halcyon days of Shannon Airport when the royal, the rich and the famous all passed through. Celebrities and every US President since John F Kennedy feature in the permanent photography exhibition.

Former Shannon Airport manager Liam Skelly recalls he gifted a loaf of brown bread made by his wife to George and Barbara Bush.

Another former manager at the airport, Michael Guerin, recalls how the relationship between Shannon Airport and the Russian airline Aeroflot was of concern to the Americans.

Anne Coyne, a former member of the sales staff at Shannon Duty Free, features in the exhibition, pictured with Gene Kelly in 1959 recalls selling the star some Irish butter.
