India Day is described as a fusion of cultures between both countries and a celebration of diversity. There is a day of music, song, dance and food from India at Farmleigh House in the Phoenix Park, Dublin.

Organiser, Dr Jasbir Singh Puri, says the events are a recognition that the Indian community in Ireland is here to stay and hopes to share their culture and accept Irish culture at the same time.

With the sixth Indian Film Festival for Dublin confirmed, the ties between the two countries continue to grow. Siraj Zaidi, Director of the Indian Film Festival of Ireland, says one of the purposes of the event is to promote Ireland to Indian filmmakers.
