Wexford Sailing Club hosts the Mirror Class Dinghy Junior Championship of Ireland.
Wexford welcomes young sailors from all over Ireland and also from England taking part in the Mirror Class Dinghy Junior Championship of Ireland. The competitors race double-handed sailing dinghies over a course in Wexford Harbour.
There are 88 entries for the event, and many of the crews are teenagers. The championships finishes with Garry Aiken, from North Belfast Yacht Club, announced as the overall winner. He has a win, one second place and two third places.
The Junior Championship is followed by the Senior National Championships, for which there are 75 entries. Participants will compete in races held on 22, 23, and 24 August 1975.
