Concerns in Limerick over the safety of a wall that was built in the 16th century.

Young people in the parish of St Mary's Cathedral are complaining that the wall of Domnall Mór Ua Briain's palace is in a dangerous condition. Domnall Mór Ua Briain was King of Thomond from 1168 to 1194.

The wall of the palace on Athlunkard Street is the only section of the building that is still standing. The wall dates from the mid-16th century. The parish youth movement claim that it is only a matter of time before the wall collapses.
