Singer songwriter Ed Sheeran plays the first of two sold out concerts at Croke Park in Dublin.

Ed Sheeran was the biggest selling global male solo artist of 2014 and tickets for his two Dublin shows at Croke Park have been sold out for months.

While final preparations are being made for the first concert at Croke Park, Ed Sheeran tells members of the press how much playing in front of an Irish audience means to him.

All of my best memories of concerts have been in Dublin.

Hugely proud of his Irish heritage since arriving in Dublin, he played a warm-up gig in Whelans and has spent a lot of time with family at his grandmother's house.

Fans from all over Ireland attending Croke Park are excited to see Ed Sheeran.

There’s just something special about him that you just love.

Dublin band Bell X1 is the support act for both nights, with Gavin James on the bill for the first night and Jamie Lawson playing on the second night.
