Fires blaze to welcome home Mayo the All Ireland Ladies Football Champions.
The joyful return home for the new All Ireland Ladies Football Champions begins in village of Shrule County Mayo.
It was a homecoming the likes of which Mayo's newest footballing heroes could only have dreamed of.
The players received a rapturous reception from the thousands of ecstatic fans there to congratulate them.

Team captain Diane O'Hora and players Sabrina Bailey and Marcella Heffernan were overcome by the shared joy between players and supporters. They said it was hard to to put into words but is was the best feeling in the whole world. Mayo team manager John Mullin is thrilled at the welcome for the champions.
Mayo beat Waterford 0-12 to 0-8 to take the title at Croke Park.
